This sixth proposed Constitutional Amendment authorized a Line-Item Veto for the President of the United States to veto part of legislation passed by Congress without vetoing the entire bill. 44 of 50 Governors have some type of line-item veto authority and the US Congress did approve a line-item veto for the president, but it was ruled unconstitutional. This Amendment will make it constitutional once again.
